Self Esteem

Self esteem is the most important requirement of psychological wellbeing. We all have the capacity of forming our own identity and then of deciding whether we like ourselves or not. When we judge ourselves unfavourably we damage our self esteem. Our self esteem comes from this judgment. When we put ourselves down in any way we lower our self esteem and avoid situations that might cause us further pain or embarrassment.
